For our Historic Highlands Renovation project located in Denver, we were entrusted to remodel the kitchen and utility room within a duplex dating back to 1903. As the home was historic, our main objective was to tie the historical significance of the home’s architecture and the surrounding neighborhood into the updated design.

Julie, head designer of Brayton Interiors, has always been inspired by the world of architecture. Specifically, architects and movements that defined modernism across the US and beyond. This interview explores her connection with modernist, and in some cases, gravity-defying, architecture and how she’s bringing it to Denver.

For the Downtown Mountain Loft project located in the heart of Denver, we were tasked with marrying the clients’ love for the mountains with their new city lifestyle.

Julie and Mark Brayton are the brother-sister duo who started and run the eponymous Denver-based interior design studio, Brayton Interiors.

At Brayton Interiors, we feel that every design should tell a story. The story behind the design is what brings everything full circle–the client’s interests and history, the feelings they want their home to evoke, the activities that take place within their home, and so on.
